The White Dragon Pavé by Grieb & Benzinger

By Paul Joseph

German watchmakers Grieb & Benzinger, renowned for their skeletonized timepieces, have teamed up with prestigious London retailer Marcus watch boutique to offer the one-of-a-kind White Dragon Pavé.

Housed in a solid 43 mm case crafted in 18-karat palladium-white gold, the watch’s stand-out feature it its highly distinctive and unusual dial comprising a hand-skeletonized, hand-engraved and hand-guilloché dragon surrounded by 369 fine Top Wesselton diamonds set in pavé style at its centre.

Other notable elements include a bezel set with square-cut, Princess-style diamonds, a manually-wound movement visible through the watch’s sapphire crystal case back, and a cream-coloured alligator-skin strap with palladium white gold buckle.

Grieb & Benzinger design unique wristwatches based on exceptional historic movements. Due to the level of craftsmanship required for each piece, the company only produce 1,000 watches a year.

The Marcus Watch Store belongs to Marcus Margulies and dates back to the 1960s. Today it houses some of the world’s most important watch brands, including Franck Muller, Piaget, Audemars Piguet, Girard-Perregaux, MB&F and Urwark.
