The World’s Most Expensive Perfume: Yours for $1.5 Million
Some people might be of the view that you can’t put a price on the benefits of smelling good – but this new perfume may just put that theory to the test.
Prestigious French luxury label Morreale Paris have unveiled the Le Monde sur Mesure, an ultra-luxurious fragrance housed in a bespoke gold and diamond encrusted decanter that comes with the eye-popping – and world record breaking – price tag of $1.5 million.
Created from 2 kilos of pure 18-karat gold armor and hand-polished diamonds of the highest grade, the Le Monde sur Mesure bottle takes one year to craft and comes with a unique serial number and a premium wooden travel case with a 18-karat gold bracelet.
Filled with a scent of Parisian Roses de Mai and Himalayan Mountain Neroli, the Le Monde sur Mesure will be available only to select VIP’s, and will come in 5, 7 and 10 lt. bottles. The brand will also introduce 300 ml consumer bottles priced at $300 for the rest of us.
"It's not just a bottle, it's a piece of art," says Morreale's creative director, Maxime Rançon. "Each bottle is gold-armored. People are mesmerised when they see it."
Clients are involved in the creative process, and the finished product is flown to them by private jet and with a full security detail. Every bottle is also presented with an 18-karat gold bracelet.
The Le Monde sue Mesure will be unveiled in a private art tour at the historic Los Angeles estates towards the end of 2018.
