Tiffany & Co Open Concept Store on Tokyo's Cat Street

By Paul Joseph

Iconic American jewellery house Tiffany & Co have opened an innovative new concept store in the heart of Tokyo.

Located at one of the city’s most famous shopping destinations, called ‘Cat Street’, the six-storey concept store is spread over 5,059 square feet and is finished elegantly in white and distinctive Tiffany blue.

At the store’s entrance sits a vending machine selling perfumes, while two instant customisation counters are placed where customers can have heartfelt messages or drawings engraved on their jewellery.

Other notable features include a one-of-a-kind Tokyo-themed photo booth, as well as Tiffany’s first ever Japan café, which has been designed to resemble a retro American diner.

Furthermore, in an effort to make the store more welcoming to younger clientele it has been designed in a way that the staff do not stay behind the counters like in a traditional jewellery store but interact and mingle with the customers instead.

To commemorate the opening the store is selling exclusive pendants engraved with the store’s logo featuring a cat’s head.
