Iconic jewellery house Tiffany & Co have unveiled the 2014 edition of their annual Blue Book collection.

The collection, which features a range of lavish diamonds and coloured gemstones inspired by the jeweller’s archives, was launched at a glitzy event held at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.

Around 250 guests attended the event, which culminated in a spectacular sound and light installation, titled ‘The Diamond Sky’, which saw pieces from the new collection projected onto the museum’s ceiling and rotunda.

Among the attendees were some high profile names from the worlds of entertainment and fashion including Katie Holmes,Jessica Biel, Kate Bosworth, Hilary Rhoda and Fei Fei Sun.

Each year, Tiffany releases a collection to accompany their Blue Book, an annual publication that showcases the brand’s latest creations

When it was first launched in 1845, Tiffany’s Blue Book was the first mail order catalogue to be distributed in the United States. Over time the book has evolved from line drawings to glossy photographs and its cover from navy blue to Tiffany Blue, the distinctive colour that famously graces the jeweller’s boxes and shopping bags.

Founded in 1837, Tiffany’s has grown to become one of the world’s most famous jewellery houses.
