Tom Ford Video Showcases Spring 2013 Collection
American fashion designer Tom Ford has released a new video showcasing his women’s collections for Spring 2013.
The collection, which has been kept firmly under wraps until now, focuses on the relationship between chastity and perversity.
It features a range of risqué pieces including leather jacket sleeves bandaged up with buckled straps, PVC pencil skirts and elastic harnesses
Talking about the theme of the new collection, the world-renowned designer said: “If you look too chaste, too buttoned up, you will always look a little dull, but if you go all-out sexy it can look perverse.
“This collection is about finding the balance.”
In the video, models evoke the fashions of the 60s by wearing beehive buns whilst the footage is set to a boisterous drum solo.
Born in 1961, Ford gained international fame for his turnaround of the Gucci fashion house and the creation of the Tom Ford label before directing the Oscar-nominated film A Single Man.
