A Penthouse in one of London’s top locations has sold for an astounding £140 million, breaking records and putting a lot of attention on London’s Golden Postcodes.

Located at the One Hyde Park development in Knightsbridge, this two-floor apartment features a wealth of unique and attractive features for the high-net-worth individual. The luxury penthouse offers bullet-proof windows, an air purifying system and a panic room alongside protection from SAS-trained security guards and full room service from the adjoining Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

After being sold for an impressive £140m, the Knightsbridge property has reportedly surpassed the £115m Westminster property sold in 2008 as the most expensive property sold in Britain. Designed by architect Lord Rogers, the One Hyde Park property is part of the Mandarin Oriental Hotel which boasts over 80 flats in four towers.

This luxurious and secure property, located in central London, is due to open later this year with 65% of all of the properties in the block reportedly sold at an average of £20 million.
