Travel Company Offering Once-In-A-Lifetime Titanic Dive & Dine Experience

By Paul Joseph

London-based travel company Cookson Adventures are offering adventurous travellers a unique opportunity to combine a diving expedition to the Titanic shipwreck with an exotic dining experience by its side.

As part of the once-in-a-lifetime adventure, guests will dive to the ruins of the Titanic, located 3,800 metres below sea level on the bed of the Atlantic Ocean.

They will be accompanied by a professional researcher who will guide them throughout the trip and provide them with a detailed tour of the submerged ship.

They will then be treated to a gourmet dinner – a recreation of the lavish 10-course dinner that was enjoyed by passengers before the disastrous iceberg collision on the night of 14 April 1912.

The meal will include such lavish delicacies as oysters, filet mignons, foie gras, roasted squab and Consommé Olga.

The dinner will also feature several fine wines such as a 1912 Madeira, a Château d’Yquem, a Château Cheval Blanc, and a bottle of the 1907 Heidsieck Gout Champagne.

Speaking about the experience, Thomas Delande, from Melchior Club by Wine Source said, “The Titanic was the embodiment of luxury, when it set sail in 1912, and the ability to recreate the masterpiece that was the evening meal, with paired vintage wines appropriate to this feast is an incredible culinary feat.”
