Trump Ocean Club Resort Opens in Panama

American entrepreneur Donald Trump opened his first hotel resort in Latin America last week – the Trump Ocean Club in Panama.

Located in the capital, Panama City, overlooking Panama Bay, the 70-storey luxury resort is the tallest building in Latin America, standing at 932 feet, and includes its own marina, a casino and an island with a private beach.

Shaped to emulate a giant yachting sail, the 47-suite hotel casts an impressive figure on Panama City’s landscape.

The hotel features several other notable facilities and amenities, including a 900 square metre terrace with an oceanfront pool, a spa, personalised butler service and a convention centre.

The Trump empire’s decision to move into Panama comes at a time of rapid real estate growth in the country, which has seen it dubbed a “mini “Dubai”. With the new Trump tower, Panama is now home to the three tallest buildings in Latin America.
