Turks & Caicos Resort Gets ‘Best Beach’ Endorsement

By P. Joseph

An ultra-luxury holiday resort in the Turks and Caicos islands can expect a surge in bookings after its beachfront was named the world’s best beach.

The beach received the honour from the influential TripAdvisor website as part of its Traveller’s Choice awards.

Located on the island of Providenciales, the golden shore is overlooked by the Seven Stars resort, which is housed in three oceanfront buildings.

The resort boasts 107 guest accommodations, ranging from spacious junior rooms to spectacular four-bedroom suites, some with direct swimming pool and beach access.

The latest honour for the resort follows on from last month when it was named the world's Most Romantic Hotel or Resort in About.com's 2011 Readers' Choice Awards.

Suites are fully equipped with kitchens with granite counters, GE Monogram appliances and Nespresso machines, whilst marble bathrooms are stocked with L'Occitaine bath products.

Also within the resort are tennis courts, a gourmet restaurant, a boutique, the island's only heated salt-water pool, and a spa.

To mark last month's award, the resort has launched a special package available for booking now through June 1, 2011 at $575/night, and from June 2 to August 31, 2011 at $500/night. The package requires a minimum four-night stay and includes an Ocean Front Junior Suite, a private sunset dinner for two on the beach, in-room strawberries and champagne, and a one-hour massage for two.
