Ulysse Nardin Launches “Pride of Baltimore” Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

Historical Swiss watch-makers Ulysse Nardin have created a new limited edition timepiece inspired by a 19th-century sailing yacht.

Available in a choice of 18-karat white or rose gold, the Pride of Baltimore Classico Cloisonné timepiece features a depiction of the Pride of Baltimore vessel capturing the HMS St. Lawrence on its dial.

The capture represented the most famous seize of Captain Thomas Boyle of the Chasseur, one of the most renowned American privateers of the era.

The watch boasts a 40mm diameter case, following a self-winding movement and powered by Ulysse Nardin’s 815 caliber that has been COSC Chronometer certified.

Other notable features include a power reserve of 42 hours and water resistance up to 50 metres.

The Pride of Baltimore Classico Cloisonné timepiece is available in a limited edition run of just 30 pieces.

Ulysse Nardin was founded in Le Locle, Switzerland in 1846.
