Ulysse Nardin Release Jazz-Inspired Timepiece

By Paul Joseph

Swiss luxury watchmakers Ulyssee Nardin have created a stunning limited edition timepiece inspired by Jazz.

Limited to just 18 pieces all in platinum, the Jazz Minute Repeater features 18-karat gold animated figurines – or ‘Jacquemarts’ – depicting a performing Jazz band on the watch’s black onyx dial.

When the minute repeater lever is activated, the watch’s hours, quarters and minutes chime, serving as a cue for the band to start playing along with the time.

Other notable features include a 42mm platinum case along with an AR-coated sapphire crystal and sapphire display back, a Swiss manual-wind Ulysse Nardin in-house caliber UN-74 movement and a power reserve of 36 hours.

Jacquemarts have become something of a hallmark of Ulysse Nardin watches and it is now the only watch brand that still makes timepieces featuring these types of figurine.

Founded in Le Locle, Switzerland in 1846, Ulysse Nardin has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury watch brands.
