Ulysse Nardin Unveil New Marine Diver Timepieces

By Paul Joseph

Swiss luxury watchmakers Ulysse Nardin have created a newly redesigned version of its highly popular Marine Diver timepiece

Available in steel, and mounted on either a rubber strap or steel bracelet, the new Marine Diver and its sporty women’s version, the Lady Diver, feature a screw-locked crown, rotating bezel and case with water-resistance to 300 metres.

Ulysse Nardin’s anchor emblem is displayed at 2 o’clock, while the dial, available in blue or black, is decorated with a wave-like motif which can also be seen on the bezel. The solid case-back reveals an engraving of a boat surrounded by the inscription: “Conquer the Ocean”.

In terms of performance, it is billed as offering all the attributes required of a world class diving watch, boasting exceptional water resistance and an unidirectional rotating bezel which prevents any accidental adjustments during dive time.

The 44mm face displays large hour-markers and hands with a white luminescent coating and a red stripe, for perfect visibility, while the small seconds at 6 o’clock are also oversized., ensuring they can be visible even in the water’s murky depths.

Other notable features include a self-winding caliber UN-26 movement and a power reserve of 42 hours.

Ulysse Nardin was founded in Le Locle, Switzerland in 1846.
