By Paul Joseph

Van Cleef & Arpels' sparkling Alhambra collection is one of the jewellery world’s most enduringly popular ranges – and now the Swiss brand are marking their 50th anniversary with some new additions.

The new pieces include a vintage long necklace, with 20 alternating motifs of four-leaf clovers crafted in grey mother-of-pearl and diamond-studded pink gold.

Other notable additions to the collection include a matching pair of magic Alhambra earrings and a five-motif bracelet. There’s also a unique 20-motif vintage necklace and five-motif bracelet paired with luxurious 18-karat metal and deep blue lapis lazuli.

Meanwhile those with subtler tastes can opt for a yellow gold vintage necklace and bracelet that comes adorned with transparent rock crystals.

Van Cleef & Arpels latest collection showcases the talents of lapidaries, jewelers, stone-setters and polishers, along with an outstanding quality of materials.

Nicholas Bos, CEO and Design Director of Van Cleef & Arpels, said: “It’s not necessarily about celebrating an anniversary, but it’s still quite symbolic: 50 years of continuous existence of a collection.”

Founded by Charles Arpels and Alfred Van Cleef in 1896, Van Cleef & Arpels has grown to become one of the world’s most renowned luxury jewellery brands.
