Vespa Join the Electric Revolution with the Elettrica
Piaggio, the Italian makers of the iconic Vespa scooter, has announced the Vespa Elettrica, the first all-electric variant of the classic bike.
While it will be all-electric, its makers have promised it will retain all the style and maneuverability of the conventional versions.
Furthermore, Piaggio have said the Elettrica will also feature ‘innovative connectivity solutions’, though have not yet confirmed specifically what this will entail.
While the Gasoline powered Vespa comes in an all steel frame, the electric variant will showcase a stark, luster brushed metal body with electric blue accents combined with silver.
Earlier this year, Mahindra introduced its electric scooter- the GenZe 2.0, featuring a speed limit of 30 miles per hour.
Piaggio are expected to unveil more details on the new bike at the 2017 EICMA, the worldwide motorcycle exhibition.
