Victoria Beckham 2012 S/S Collection Now Available in UK

By Paul Joseph

A new collection of dresses from former singer turned fashion designer Victoria Beckham is now available in the UK.

Designed and created in-house by Mrs Beckham, items from the "Victoria, Victoria Beckham" collection can be purchased at Harvey Nichols, Harrods, Selfridges, and online at Net-a-porter, with prices ranging from £375 through to £995.

Inspired by the cartoon character “Emily the Strange”, the collection has been made using a range of fine fabrics. Amongst the dresses are Cutie-cat and Victoria Cat prints for a more playful mood, while cloud and moon motifs offer attire for more formal occasions.

Other notable features include patch pocket tunics, drop-waists and a-line tunics scallop-edging, while pleats and prints appear in a series of styles created from cotton sateens, jacquards, crepe de chine and summer wools and crepes.

Colour blocking also appears regularly throughout the collection with colours including apple and tonic greens, azure and midnight blues, sunshine yellow, soft cream and a vibrant pink.

Speaking about her new collection, Mrs Beckham said: “This new line serves to channel my inner girl – it is fun and young with a distinct sense of humour.

I wanted to create a collection that reaches out to a new customer. The Victoria range can’t help but make you smile with its energy and personality.”

Now in its sixth season in-store, the Victoria Beckham fashion label achieved retail sales of over £20 million last year.
