This year marks the 500th anniversary of the death of iconic artist of Leonardo Da Vinci, and in commemoration of the landmark comes a special collaboration.

Acclaimed fashion designer Virgil Abloh has teamed up with world famous Parisian art museum The Louvre to create a capsule collection inspired by the Italian legend’s paintings.

The exclusive collection contains T-shirts and hoodies decorated with paintings by da Vinci, including a hoodie that showcases a panel depicting the Virgin of the Rocks, while the back of a tee features a painting known as Saint Ann transferred onto the cross motif.

Other pieces boast monochrome representations of da Vinci’s anatomical sketches, among other design influences.

Speaking about the streetwear collection, Abloh said: “I was fascinated with da Vinci early on. I was super interested not only by his artworks but also by the influence he had in many disciplines besides art – science, engineering, architecture. To me, he symbolises everything the Renaissance was.”

Pieces from the collection range between $355 and $640 and are currently available for purchase at The Louvre gift shop and with select retailers worldwide.
