World’s Finest Cars Congregate in Vancouver
Some of the world’s most sought-after classic and contemporary supercars came together in Vancouver, Canada last weekend for a prestigious garden party.
The annual Luxury Supercar Weekend took place on the manicured Great Lawn. at the city’s VanDusen Botanical Gardens, with guests enjoying a handpicked selection of stunning automobiles.
Now into its third year, the event offers a glimpse of cars that are only displayed at select international automotive events, such as Villa d’Este in Italy, Salon Privé in London, and The Quail Concours at Pebble Beach in California.
Amongst the cars on display at the Vancouver show was the McLaren MP4-12C – one of the most eagerly anticipated supercars of 2012. Other supercars being showcased were the 2011 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700 and the Tesla Roadster.
Classic and rare cars in attendance included the 1990 Ferrari F-40, the 1967 Lamborghini Muira, and the 1954-1963 Mercedes-Benz 300-SL Coupés and Roadsters.
The event also featured the Shaughnessy Concours d’Elegance Awards Ceremony, high-profile fashion shows, exclusive dining opportunities presented by Vancouver’s top chefs and restaurateurs, and exclusive after parties at some of the city’s most prestigious venues.
