World’s most expensive cologne: Clive Christian No. 1

By M. McDougall

Filling the top spots for both most expensive perfume and cologne is the Imperial Majesty limited edition of Clive Christian No. 1 for Men.

Featuring a handmade lead crystal bottle with a gold collar holding a brilliant cut white diamond, this cologne looks every bit as good as it smells.

Besides the stunning bottle, the price of the fragrance also comes from the scarcity of its exotic ingredients and the six months in which it takes for the spiciness to crystallize.

The fragrance itself boasts top notes of bergamot, lime, Sicilian mandarin and cardamom; a heart of Lily of the Valley, rose, jasmine and ylang ylang; and a base of cedar wood, sandalwood, vetyver and ambery woods.
