World’s Thinnest Ceramic Watch from Rado

By P. Joseph

Luxury Swiss watch-maker Rado have created what it claims is the world’s world's thinnest high-tech ceramic watch.

Unveiled at the recent BaselWorld watch and jewellery fair in Switzerland, the True Thinline timepiece is powered by a quartz movement less than 1mm in height.

Based on the brand’s established “True” collection, the Thinline comes in a thin round case in either black or white ceramic.

To allow the new ultra thin structure, all of the components have been intensively reworked to ensure they are fully integrated.

The timepiece also features clear gold coloured indexes, replaced by diamonds on the range’s Jubilé version and accentuated by a fully-integrated and scratch resistant sapphire crystal dome.

Founded in 1917, Rado is highly regarded for the form, function and design of its watches.

The True Thinline range is available to purchase this summer, priced at £600.
