World’s Top 100 Most Valuable Luxury Brands Announced

By Paul Joseph

A list of the World’s Most Valuable Luxury Brands has been released by the World Luxury Accociation (WLA).

The Top 100 rankings reveal French high fashion house Hermès as the world’s most valuable label, with compatriot Chanel coming in second.

The rankings were released last week following an event dubbed the “Luxury Oscar Awards” in Beijing. The event served to highlight China’s burgeoning luxury goods market, which was projected to have generated $12.6 billion - or 28 percent of the global market - last year.

Based on luxury brands’ influence on a global scale, rather than market share, the Top 100 list contains brands from across the luxury industry, including yachting, cars, resorts, watches, fashion, liquor and cosmetics.

Other jewellery brands featuring include Vanclecf & Arpels, Boucheron, Harry Winston, Chaumet, Kloybateri, Bylgari, Montblanc, Tiffany & Co and Mikimoto.

WLA is a non-profit organization focusing on the international luxury market, specializing in luxury brand management and market research.

The top ten most valuable luxury brands according to the WLA report are:
1) Hermès
2) Chanel
3) Louis Vuitton
4) Christian Dior
5) Ferragamo
6) Versace
7) Prada
8) Fendi
