World’s Highest Whisky Bar Opens in Bangkok

By Paul Joseph

Giving a whole new meaning to “living the high life”, a Bangkok hotel has become home to what is billed as the world’s highest whisky bar.

Nestled on the 64th floor of the Thai city’s Lebua hotel in the State Tower, the Alfresco 64 bar is an eye-popping 800 feet above ground, offering patrons the chance to take in stunning views of Bangkok’s bright lights while nursing a glass of fine whisky.

The bar is the result of a collaboration between Lebua Hotels & Resorts and world renowned Scottish whisky producer Chivas Regal, and on its menu will be a special blend exclusively available at this decadent venue.

It represents the first time Chivas Regal has created a special blend for a partner and promises to offer a unique whisky drinking experience for connoisseurs visiting the iconic and vibrant Thai city.

Chivas Regal traces its roots back to 1801. The brand’s home is Strathisla distillery at Keith, Moray in Speyside, Scotland, the oldest operating Highland distillery, which was founded in 1786.

Lebua Hotels & Resorts is Bangkok-based luxury hotels and restaurants company with locations in Thailand, India, and New Zealand.
