Zaha Hadid Teams Up with Aziz & Walid Mouzannar to Create One-Off “Petal Cuff”

She is already one of the world’s most revered architects, but Zaha Hadid is increasingly turning her hand to smaller scale projects – but equally large in creativity and spirit.

The latest diversification by Iraqi-born Hadid has seen her collaborate with Lebanese jewellery house Aziz & Walid Mouzannar to create a stunning, one-off jewellery piece.

Crafted by hand using 18-karat white gold and set with 1,048 white diamonds, the “Petal Cuff” showcases the distinct individualism of each designer behind the piece, its sculptural form boasting sensual femininity.

Speaking about the partnership, Hadid said: “Our collaboration with the House of Aziz & Walid Mouzannar takes full advantage of Alia’s expertise and Dori's knowledge to explore the beauty of natural forms and the unique properties of its materials.

“Alia’s work celebrates materiality and composition in the rich history and traditions of Lebanon’s jewellers. Each immaculately detailed piece conveys formal complexity and precision with the highest standards of craftsmanship.”

A private event to launch the ‘Petal Cuff’ will take place on Thursday 13th November at the Zaha Hadid gallery in London.
