TaChiao's 92-foot Cabochon has an exceedingly handsome profile with a sweeping sheer and a perfectly proportioned deck-house arrangement.
Cabochon offers a superbly finished teak interior with generous spaces by virtue of her 21-foot beam. The Hood/Fontaine-design pedigree assures solid performance with the versatility of shoal draft.
Cabochon is still in the hands of her commissioning owner who applied his engineering background to all aspects of her build. He also appreciated the unique advantages of the Hood/Fontaine “Delta hull shape,” which provides voluminous storage and accommodations, shoal draft and reliable upwind performance and a comfortable motion at sea.
Cabochon was built by a select team of Taiwanese craftsmen with careful supervision. A second yacht was built to the same specifications immediately following. Both yachts have been trouble-free and are still with their original owners. Cabochon may be one of the largest sailing yachts that can still be managed by a team of two.
Accommodation
Cabochon was built with cutting edge composite technology that utilized all synthetic core materials and epoxy resins. Her topsides and deckhouse are Awlgrip finished. Her interior is finished in light teak to an exceptionally high standard. Accommodations include three staterooms, each with private head and shower.
