Hampshire I

Designed by De Voogt Naval Architects and built by Dutch yard Royal De Vries Feadship, HAMPSHIRE I was launched in 2001 and refitted in 2016/17.

Built to Lloyds Register and MCA Compliant, she features a full displacement steel hull and aluminium superstructure with teak decks.

Powered by 2 Caterpillar 1,500hp diesel engines, she is capable of a top speed of 15 knots and comfortably cruises at 12 knots. HAMPSHIRE I was built with a zero speed stabilisation system which has been constantly updated. The system reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother cruising experience, providing ‘at anchor’ comfort.

Originally launched as BARBARA JEAN, her luxurious interior was designed by John Munford, well known for designing the interiors for yachts including FREEDOM and ARCHIMEDES. When she became HAMPSHIRE, the interior was refitted by the team at Redman Whitely Dixon, giving her a more contemporary feel.
