MAXICAT VICTORIA is the ex-Club Med winner of the Race in 2001 (around the world regatta) with world-renowned New Zealand skipper Grant Dalton.

She had a fantastic track of records and prize list before she underwent in 2016/2017 similar to what did in the past her sister ship ex Swift, a complete refit and conversion project into a fantastic maxi cruiser catamaran with light and comfortable accommodation for fast crossing and blue waters cruising.

The first conversion (she called Ocean Pearl) was done in 2015 choosing high quality equipment and taking a special care to keep the weight as close as possible as original when she was meant to race around the world. She was incomparably easier to sail and comfortable to live aboard. One of the of the major achievement of ex Ocean Pearl is that she has successfully been converted from being one of the best performing racing machines in the world to the fastest sailing cruising catamaran ever. In 2022, Alex Pella, the renowned Spanish skipper and current holder of the Jules Verne Trophy with IDEC Sport, purchased the boat for an offshore crewed racing program. A major refit project allowed Victoria to regain her performance as a racing catamaran while retaining several comfort features, enabling her to sail with a reduced crew and, when needed, offer a sailing program for non-expert guests. A perfect balance of performance, comfort, and safety! Ready to sail, from day sailing to offshore racing.

Accommodation

MAXICAT VICTORIA has been converted for short-handed operation and private use, with accommodation arranged across her two hulls. She can sleep up to 10 people in total.

The port hull is dedicated to the owner and guests and is designed to provide a quieter, more comfortable living environment with minimal technical equipment. It accommodates up to six guests and includes a saloon, three cabins comprising two double cabins and one single cabin, together with two bathrooms.

The starboard hull is primarily arranged for crew and technical functions. It provides five berths across two double and one single cabin, as well as a bathroom, galley and navigation area. Technical systems are concentrated in this hull to help reduce noise and vibration in the guest accommodation.

The yacht also features electric toilet facilities, showers, additional exterior showers, and a practical galley equipped with a 24 V refrigerator and two-burner gas stove.
