ZANZIBAR is a distinctive 31.25-metre cutter-rigged centreboard sloop offering a compelling blend of performance, strength and genuine world-cruising capability. Built by Trehard Shipyard in France to a design by Gilles Vaton, she was conceived for an experienced owner seeking a fast, reliable yacht capable of serious offshore passages in comfort.

Her robust aluminium hull, twin-engine configuration and centreboard arrangement make her particularly versatile. With draft varying from approximately 2.30 metres to 5.50 metres, ZANZIBAR combines strong sailing performance with the ability to access shallower anchorages and cruising grounds that are often beyond the reach of yachts of similar size.

Her sailing specification includes a Rondal aluminium keel-stepped mast, carbon Park Avenue boom, hydraulic furling systems and a modern North Sails inventory. Clean deck lines, a practical cockpit arrangement and generous exterior spaces create a yacht that is equally well suited to passagemaking, entertaining and relaxed life at anchor.

Accommodation is arranged for up to seven guests in three cabins, including a spacious forward Master stateroom with king-size bed and his-and-hers bathroom arrangement, plus two additional double guest cabins, one with a Pullman berth. The blond teak interior creates a warm and timeless atmosphere, while the large saloon offers separate dining and lounge areas for comfortable extended cruising.

A well-separated crew area provides accommodation for up to four, together with a large galley, chart table and crew mess, supporting efficient operation without compromising guest privacy.

Auxiliary propulsion is provided by twin Caterpillar 3208 diesel engines, each producing 180 HP, while twin Northern Lights generators, a retractable hydraulic bow thruster, twin rudders, watermaker and comprehensive navigation and communications systems reinforce her credentials as a serious long-range yacht.

ZANZIBAR has also benefited from an extensive refit programme covering sails, rigging, paint, hydraulics, batteries, air conditioning, plumbing, machinery systems, safety equipment and deck hardware, significantly updating her technical condition and readiness for future cruising.

With her proven bluewater pedigree, aluminium construction, centreboard versatility, twin-engine reliability and substantial recent upgrades, ZANZIBAR presents a strong opportunity for an owner seeking a capable, distinctive and highly adaptable sailing yacht for ambitious cruising.
