Harrods Launch £20,000 Christmas Hamper

Prestigious London department store Harrods is going all out this December with a lavish Christmas hamper priced at a cool £20,000.

Aptly called “The Decadence”, the hamper features an array of extravagant items, including wines and spirits, fresh food, pantry goods, fine teas and coffees, confectionaries and decorations.

Among its beverages is a collection of 24 wines, champagnes, vintage ports and cognacs including the magnum Louis Roederer Cristal Champagne. Other delicacies include Beluga caviar, Iberian Lomo meat, Ibérico Ham, Buffalo Milk Truffle Camembert and a bottle of edible gold leaf infused Martine Guerrand Hermès Histoire d’O Extra Virgin olive oil.

Furthermore, Harrods has also teamed up with other luxury brands to create a variety of divers hampers, each with their own special touch. Among these is the Ladurée Hat Box Hamper, priced at £195, featuring a bottle of Ladurée’s brut rosé champagne, Ladurée Blend Tea from Sri Lanka and China blended with citrus, flowers and vanilla, and plenty of Ladurée chocolates.

There is also the East India Company Emperor’s Bequest Hamper, priced at £1,500, which comprises fine teas and coffees, pantry items and fine chocolates. Gift accessories include a gold-coloured Japanese tea pot with matching tea cups and two scented luxury candles.

Harrods’ luxury hampers can be customized to suit the specific requests of purchasers.

Located in Knightsbridge, west London, Harrods was founded by Charles Henry Harrod in 1834.
