Iconic French fashion house Hermès has added to its burgeoning reputation as a luxury watch maker with the creation of a new range of timepieces that playfully toy with light and dark.

Available in two avarats and two colours each (black and white), the Heure H Double Jeu watches feature glossy enamel that shares space with dazzling diamonds.

Like some of the brand’s other notable timepieces, this one too features an “H” shaped case with a square dial in the centre – a nod to the classic watch shape first created in 1996 by designer Philippe Mouquet.

The Heure H Double Jeu is available in both a vertical and horizontal setting, with the former featuring a 21mm white or black lacquered steel case set with 122 diamonds plus white/black lacquer dials, black/white transferred Arabic numerals and rhodium-plated hands.

Meanwhile the horizontal editions boast steel dials and cases that have a lacquered top half and a bottom half fully set with diamonds (93 on the case and another 138 on the dial). This has the effect of making the bottom half seem as if it’s literally been dipped in diamonds.

Both versions also have interchangeable white grained or black Barénia calfskin straps, while the colour choices of black and white add a modern elegance to the watches.

Founded in Paris in 1837, Hermes has grown to become one of the world’s most famous luxury labels.
