Latest Lifestyle News: LVMH Bringing Their Brand of Hospitality to London

It’s been another busy week in the world of luxury and lifestyle and one of the most notable pieces of news came from a name familiar to anyone with their finger on the high-end retail pulse.

LVMH, the luxury goods conglomerate which counts Marc Jacobs, Hublot, Donna Karan, and Dom Pérignon among its subsidiaries, has announced that it is to make further inroads into the world of upscale hospitality with a new hotel in the heart of London.

The company plans to redevelop two streets in the city's prestigious Mayfair district with a Cheval Blanc hotel and an underground spa, as well as other offerings such as high-end retail outlets and a Louis Vuitton café. You can read more about the hotel in the lead story of today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, we preview the upcoming edition of Salon Privé which will have among its highlights a major commemoration of Bentley’s 100th anniversary. The two-day celebration will feature a variety of events to mark the occasion, including a stunning display of 50 Bentleys from the brand’s earliest models through to the very latest.

There’s also news on an eye-catching 18-karat yellow gold timepiece from Japanese watchmakers Casio, the arrival of a major collection of Jaguars motorcars onto the automobile sales market, and a stunning new residential complex that recently opened in Dubai.

Back in the car world, this week has also seen the Maserati Levante Trofeo V8 Launch Edition enjoy its official debut at the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland, while the limited edition Audi R8 is marking 10 years of the V10 engine.

Finally, we report on a new fragrance by Italian luxury brand Xerjoff that has been created exclusively for Harrods department store in London.
