RM Auctions has released the distinguished line-up for the company’s 17th annual Fort Lauderdale sale which kicks off at the end of March, led by an elite group of modern sports performance and supercars.

Regarded as South Florida’s premier collector car auction, the two-day sale will feature more than 350 quality collector cars along with a selection of automobiles, ranging from American classics to European sports cars, muscle, hot rods, customs and modern collectibles.

Headlining the sale will be two supercar icons of the 21st century – a 2015 Ferrari LaFerrari and a 2008 Koenigsegg CCX.

The LaFerrari, one of just 499 built, is a low-mileage example of Ferrari’s first hybrid hypercar, capable of producing a combined 949 hp and showing just 600 miles from new. It is expected to fetch between $3.2 and $3.5 million.

The Koenigsegg CCX on offer is finished in black and retains its dark silver Dymag wheels and matching “Top Gear” rear wing. It has been upgraded by Koenigsegg to 980 hp and has covered just over 1,000 miles, and is estimated to yield between $950,000 and $1.2 million.

“Last year, our Fort Lauderdale sale saw a marked increase in the quality of cars offered along with a significant increase in international interest, a momentum we hope to continue and build on in 2019,” says Gord Duff, Global Head of Auctions, RM Sotheby’s Group.

“We have curated the Fort Lauderdale auction to new heights, gathering our most valuable and diverse offering of collector cars yet – with nearly half of the entries offered without reserve, making this an event not to be missed on the spring auction calendar.

"We look forward to welcoming collectors and enthusiasts old and new to South Florida.”

Other notable inclusions in the Fort Lauderdale sale will be a 1993 Jaguar XJ220, a 2018 Porsche 911 Turbo S “Exclusive Series”, and a 2017 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SV Coupe.

The Fort Lauderdale auction will take place at the Broward County Convention Center from 29-30 March.
