Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 17 August 2015

We are six weeks and counting from the 2015 Monaco Yacht Show and it seems an opportune time to turn our attention to one of the yachting industry’s biggest and most eagerly awaited events of the year.

From a luxury point of view, the show is also a huge opportunity for brands to reach a vast number of high net worth individuals in a relaxed setting.

Accordingly, we have created a comprehensive luxury guide to the Monaco event for visiting superyacht owners which you can read in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s a feature on the construction of the world’s largest ski slope in Dubai, plus the world record sale of a Ferrari at auction.

There’s also reports on a stunning jewellery collection by Piaget and an equally striking timepiece by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

In the hospitality world, the Mandarin Oriental in Taiwan has been named the world’s best spa, while Emirates airline have announced they are to start offering Dom Pérignon champagne to first class passengers.

If that’s not enough, there’s news from luxury drinks giants Moët Hennessy who have marked their 250th anniversary with the release of an ultra-rare, limited edition cognac blend.

Enjoy our newsletter and have a great week.
