Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 19 October 2015

Every successful brand comes with a compelling back-story and when it comes to food and beverage, provenance is crucial.

Titomirov Vodka is a brand that prides itself on the origins of its product, which is derived from the fabled Carpathian Mountains that stretch for some 1,500 kilometres across Central and Eastern Europe.

Our interview with the brainchilds behind Titomirov Vodka, Alex Titomirov and Simon Piggott, is the main feature of today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s reports on London cocktail bar Artesian retaining its crown as the world’s best bar, the hosting by Bulgari of a Rome-themed exhibition in New York and Tag Heuer’s impending unveiling of an Android Wear smartwatch.

There’s also news from Ferrari who took centre stage at the Bonhams Zoute Auction in Belgium, the Oberoi hotel and resorts group which is set to open two new luxury hotels in Qatar, and Louis Vuitton who have unveiled a series of new men’s watches featuring a special logo steeped in the brand’s past.

If that’s not enough, there’s also a preview of the up-coming debut of the new DB10 in this month’s premiere of ‘Spectre’, the latest movie from the iconic James Bond franchise.

Enjoy our newsletter and have a great week.
