Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 24 February 2014

This week we continue our look forward to next month’s Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland with a feature on the Koenigsegg One:1, which it is believed may become the world’s fastest production car.

Ahead of its launch, Koenigsegg have released the first image of the car, which is expected to boast a top speed in excess of 450 km/h (279 mph). You can see the teaser image and find out more about this stunning supercar in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, we bring you a video filmed exclusively by Superyachts.com at a prestigious wine pairing dinner that took place during the recent Miami Yacht Show. Hosted by the world renowned Chateau d'Esclans wine makers, the event was held at the palatial Villa Vecchia and served as an opportunity for the French vineyard to showcase their range of delicious rose wines. You can watch the full video and round-up here.

There’s also news that Ferrari have been named the world’s most powerful brand by brand valuation consultancy firm Brand Finance. The car maker beat off renowned luxury brands including Hermès and Rolex to the top spot, with American technology giants Apple in second place.

We also bring you the latest innovation set to be incorporated into the Spike S-512 Supersonic Jet concept, the long-awaited opening of the Shangri-La At The Shard hotel in London, and a stunning new collection of luxury watches by IWC.

If that’s not enough, there’s a unique coffee table that also doubles up as a multitouch tablet, and a private presentation of McLaren’s 650S model ahead of its Geneva debut.

Enjoy our newsletter and have a great week.
