Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 3 August 2015

The new Ferrari 488 Spider, billed as the Italian marquee’s most powerful drop-top model, is the focus of this week’s newsletter – and rightly so.

The second member of the 488 family, the striking new car has been eagerly anticipated and will hold its official world debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany in September. You can read more about it in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s reports on an eye-catching new residential tower in London billed as offering owners a taste of the Versace lifestyle, and the opening of a new Mandarin Oriental hotel in Milan.

There’s also construction news from China, where the impending opening of the Shanghai Tower is set to give the country a new tallest building.

In the watch world, luxury goods makers Montblanc have unveiled two beautiful new Bohème Timepieces, Fabergé have designed a watch themed around the French region of Provence, while Harry Winston have reopened their Harrods Salon after a revamp.

If that’s not enough, there’s also a report on Italian brand Gucci’s foray into high-end restaurants, with the opening of a lavish new dining venue in Shanghai.

Enjoy our newsletter and have a great week.
