Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 30 March 2015

It is not often you will get to witness a brand new luxury car straddling a high wire hundreds of metres in the air. This is the scene that observers around London’s Canary Wharf were privileged to see last week, thanks to an innovative stunt to promote the new Jaguar XF.

The high wire act came ahead of the Jaguar’s official debut at the New York Motor Show, which kicks off on Friday, and will certainly have helped to build up anticipation ahead of the event.
You can watch an exclusive video the stung in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, there’s news from Italian fashion brand Fendi whose private Miami residences now include a stunning $25 million penthouse. Last year Fendi joined several other brands that have diversified into high-end property and their beautiful new penthouse is expected to be sold in a flash.

There’s also a new film-inspired watch collection by erstwhile movie star and governor of California, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and a beautiful collection of jewels by Swarovski themed around the Disney fairy tale of Cinderella.

Elon Musk’s electric car brand Tesla are also in the news, after their CEO and founder gave an interview hinting that the unveiling of their first self-driving model is only months away, while iconic French fashion house have been busy putting together a limited edition portfolio book priced at $6,000.

If that’s not enough, we feature legendary car designer Henrik Fisker who has recently unveiled his redesign of the Aston Martin Vanquish, while crystal makers Baccarat have opened their first ever hotel in New York, resplendent with – you guessed it – eye-catching crystal features.

Enjoy our newsletter and have a great week.
