Notes From The Editor

Week Commencing 9 November 2015

It’s that time again. The 2015 edition of the Salon QP watch fair, which has become one of the stand-out events on the luxury calendar, arrives in London this week and this year’s show promises to be bigger and better than ever.

One of the world’s premier watch exhibitions, Salon QP will take over all three floors of the Saatchi gallery in west London to play host to more than 75 of the world’s most respected luxury watchmakers, from one-man-band artisans to global mega-brands. You can read more about this year’s show in today’s newsletter.

Elsewhere this week, we report on two stories from Singapore: firstly the opening of a new Aston Martin showroom and secondly the hosting of the first ever public exhibition by jewellery makers Cartier.

There’s also news on the annual London to Brighton classic car auction at Bonhams, a stunning new timepiece by Chopard inspired by the Chinese Zodiac, and an innovative piece of clothing by Ralph Lauren containing wearable technology.

If that’s not enough, we bring you news of an iconic Rolex watch from the James Bond franchise set to be sold at a Geneva Auction, while Italian sports car makers Pagani have also been expanding their bricks and mortar offerings with a new global showroom in Shanghai.

Enjoy our newsletter and have a great week.
