The Armani Ballroom at Dubai’s Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest structure, was the scene for the recent unveiling of what is thought to be the most expensive perfume on the globe.

Called “The Spirit of Dubai Parfums by Nabeel”, the perfume is priced at an incredible $1.3 million thank to its lavish casing that comprises a hand-blown Italian Murano glass bottle complete with 3,571 sparkling diamonds and pearls.

Mr. Asghar Adam Ali, Founder & Chairman of Nabeel Perfumes Group of Companies, said, “My vision was not only to capture Dubai’s persona in one monumental piece of art, but to also create a fragrance that embodied the pinnacle of luxury in the world of perfumery.”

As for its fragrance, it is characterised by notes of amber, sandalwood, rare pure Indian agarwood, musk, pure Turkish rose, patchouli ylang-ylang, and frankincense. It is claimed to last on the skin for more than 12 hours and up to 30 days on fabric.

The Murano glass bottle has the capacity to hold three litres of perfume, which is dispensed via an innovative remote-controlled spray mechanism that adjusts to the user’s ideal height.

It is also the only perfume to have landed two Guinness World Record titles, for ‘Most diamonds set on a perfume bottle’ and ‘Tallest remote controlled (RC) fragrance spray product’.

The perfume is currently on display at the Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue as part of the mall’s ART+ series.
