A Luxury Yachting Guide

The cruising ground of summer dreams, Godly Greece is in a divine world of its own.   view

The shoreline town of Agios Nikolaos – meaning ‘Saint Nicholas’, Greece’s patron saint of sailors – is a popular tourist resort owing to its tranquil lifestyle, attractive tile-roofed houses, picturesque dock, sprinkling of open-air cafes and restaurants, and a small lagoon.

Other local attractions include an archaeological museum, a local flora exhibition and numerous fairs. Every summer the town organises cultural events including music and dance fairs, theatrical performances, and exhibitions.

As well as offering a number of its own attractions, Agios Nikolaos is also ideal as a jumping off point for excursions to nearby places of interest including Mirabello Bay, the pretty village of Elounda, the tiny island of Agioi Pantes, and the Venetian fortress of Spinalonga.
