48m Peregrine Luxe
‘PEREGRINE’ means ‘foreigner’, ‘one who journeys in foreign far away lands’.
It’s no wonder then why this term has been used to name the world’s traveler bird which achieves epic journeys travelling and crossing the planet. This incredible bird has inspired our design, expressing the freedom of travelling and exploring the earth off any imaginable range.
We borrow then its name for this Project, expecting they can both cross their paths…. somewhere… between waves and sea breezes…
The 48m Peregrine is the smallest model in a groundbreaking range of Explorer Sailing Yachts, conceived as a cost-effective yet highly capable expedition vessel. Designed for high-latitude destinations as well as remote tropical venues, she combines strong ocean-crossing ability with remarkable autonomy: an extended motor range complemented by the potential for unlimited, wind-powered sailing.
At the heart of Peregrine’s concept is versatility. She balances performance, comfort, and exploration, seamlessly transitioning between a refined pleasure yacht and a platform for scientific or expedition work. Lounging and sunbathing spaces can be reconfigured to house containers, live fish tanks, or specialized research equipment-transforming leisure areas into functional working zones when needed.
The yacht is offered in two configurations. The Explorer version integrates all the amenities expected in a modern yacht while adding purpose-driven expedition features. The Luxe version prioritizes maximum guest comfort while still retaining a suite of exploration-oriented capabilities.
Accommodation highlights include a main deck owner’s suite with private office, library, dressing room, full bathroom, and a dedicated balcony with panoramin ocean views. Also on the main deck are a spacious lobby to upper and lower levels via a central staircase, and a glass-walled saloon with pantry-buffered galley. The expansive aft deck opens fully through pivoting balconies and transom, creating a vast space for relaxation, work, or water activities.
On the lower deck, crew areas are fully separated from guest spaces, which feature five en-suite cabins for ten guests, alongside a flexible cinema/meeting room that can convert into a sixth cabin for charter. The upper deck offers a full-beam saloon aft, captain’s cabin, and a forward wheelhouse, while the aft deck houses toys and heavy equipment, managed by two powerful cranes.
Generous al-fresco spaces are distributed across all decks, offering social lounges, dining areas, and sunbathing zones. Many of these can be transformed into technical platforms for containers or expedition gear. At the very top, the sky deck provides twin helm stations, sail controls, a bar, sofas, and dining beneath a retractable bimini, blending adventure and relaxation.
Rigging follows a classic ketch arrangement, with carbon masts, furling booms, and multiple roller-furling headsails to ensure safe, versatile sailing without added complexity.
Sustainability is central to Peregrine’s philosophy. Large solar panels are seamlessly integrated into her superstructure, powering onboard systems and hotel loads. Additional renewable energy is generated under sail, supported by an onboard waste management system. Combined with her sailing autonomy, this results in a self-sufficient, eco-conscious vessel with drastically reduced environmental footprint.
