In the 20th century the term “Grand Tour or GT’ has been synonymous with glamour, elegance, gentlemen drivers, continental races & sundowners on along the riviera. So named M/Y Lassel, captures the origin of the original grand touring adventure, wrapped in the elegance & class glamor that only a superyacht can.

Are there any specific inspirations and influences on your design for The Collection for Simply Custom?

With the concept of Grand Touring at the heart of the yacht, we wanted to bring elements from world over into one. The large lounge built over the swim platform with expansive aft facing windows, so named ”Le Bar Americain”, after the famous Monaco Hotel De Paris bar. This space giving decadent luxury, the perfect spot to watch the Monaco Grand Prix from the raised terrace, or host the perfect New Years Eve event in St Barts. Or a taste of the Orient from the Teppanyaki bar on the sun deck with views of Southeast Asia. Relaxing poolside with fold down balconies and access down to clear waters of the Galapagos. Or up in the crows nest looking out for polar bears on a Northwest Passage.

Do you have any thoughts about who might be a good fit for owning the yacht? Perhaps where they might want to cruise or how they use the yacht?

We believe there is a diverse range of owners looking for the grand touring experience. In the sea of rugged expedition yachts that exist in the moment, there is room for the “Gentleman Explorer” the type of owner who is looking for that authentic luxury grand touring experience seeking knowledge, culture and new experiences. Be they more mature owners, who want to enjoy the fruits of their hard work is the height of comfort, with plenty of space to bring their family and friends. The younger adventurous more “Avant Garde” owner ready to travel the world and burn the candle at both ends doing it. She is also designed with charter in mind, with many features that are well received and sort after on todays charter market, making her the perfect place to watch the Monaco Grand Prix, and to celebrate the victory after.
