S&S 40m Retro
This 40 metre motor yacht concept of distinctive “retro” styling has been designed by American studio Sparkman & Stephens for an experienced yachtsman. The tri-deck retains Sparkman & Stephens traditional design philosophy and emphasises hull efficiency, sea-keeping ability, and interior design ideal for comfortable cruising.
The 40m displays the experience of the design studio’s previous projects in her innovative construction techniques that allow the luxury vessel to become a leader in her class in many aspects. State-of-the-art electronics allow for simply navigation as well as appropriate onboard business and personal communications to keep guests in touch with the world.
This retro-styled concept sleeps 10 guests in five cabins including an Owner’s suite and four guest staterooms. The Owner’s suite is located on the main deck and features a private office. Also found on the main deck is a salon, dining room, galley and aft deck with lounging space.
Above, the bridge deck hosts a skylounge with own bar, generous al fresco dining area, and the wheelhouse which connects conveniently with the Captain’s cabin. Crowning the design is a sun deck with spacious aft sunbathing zone, Jacuzzi, al fresco dining area, and full bar.
The lower deck is home to the four guest cabins as well as engine room, tender garage, and crew quarters which consist of cabins for eight, a large mess and laundry room. With steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the 40 metre displacement motor yacht is powered by two Caterpillar C32 engines.
