Spirit of Tradition

Spirit of Tradition is a 39 metre sailing yacht concept designed by American firm Sparkman and Stephens. The sloop, developed for an experienced yachtsman, shows sleek, refined contours and a traditional finish.

This luxury sailing yacht concept combines a light displacement hull with advanced sail handling and mechanical systems to make her a state-of-the-art design. Spirit of Tradition’s decks have been styled as clutter-free, simple, and clean with all halyards and sheets running below decks.

Her on deck areas include a functional aft cockpit with an abundance of working space for both the helmsman and trimmers while a generous forward cockpit provides comfort for guests and clear views over the low-profile cabin house. Traditional Sparkman and Stephens deck furnishings are also present from varnished Dorade boxes with polished cowls to varnished companionway and butterfly hatches.

The interior is accessed via a grand staircase in the companionway which leads into the main salon and dining area with traditional woodwork and trim details. The dining area seats eight guests while an extra seating area and bar lie portside.

Forward of the salon is a full-width galley complete with modern appliances. Also located forward are the crew quarters with berths for seven including a private Captain’s cabin and three separate double bunk cabins.

Six guests are accommodated in three staterooms aft all with en suite facilities. The full-beam Master stateroom includes a private companionway, King-size bed, settee, walk-in-closet, and en suite with double sinks, head, and shower. Two Guest cabins feature Queen-size beds and en suites with head and shower.
