Terranova Blue Master 80'
With an equivalent amount of living space to a yacht of significantly greater proportions, the 80ft/24m Terranova Blue Master is a whole new sailing yacht design concept currently under way at Terranova Yachts highly modern facility in Lavagna, Italy.
Within this exciting design Barracuda have comprised some of the most desirable aspects more commonly found on motorboats, and incorporated them within a handsome looking, performance orientated hull. External aspects such as a high volume fly-bridge and a covered aft terrace area, make for an unusual yet welcome appearance on a sailing yacht. Whilst inside a spacious saloon, separate galley area, crew mess and spacious engine room are, perhaps, features one would normally expect on a yacht of at least 10ft or 15ft longer length.
The yacht will be handled mainly from the imposing flybridge, where a separate and safe space for handling lines, winches and controls has been allocated forward. This has left plenty of room for a large seating and dining area and sunbathing beds immediately aft.
Utilising a light weight GRP vinylester reinforced sandwich construction, performance from all points of sail is expected to be good, and made possible from features such as an optimised rig and retractable dagger board. In addition to the 4 person crew quarters, full en-suite accommodation comprises a full width owner’s cabin with large double bed, seating area and walk-in wardrobe. Plus two separate guest cabins; one double and one with a double and single bed combined.
