The Amels Limited Editions range of superyachts offers a proven technical platform with custom interiors. Our innovative business model of upfront investment in engineering and construction, while maximising customisation, represents the perfect balance between full custom and semi-custom – and reduces delivery time from several years to as little as a few months. That’s the philosophy behind our successful Amels Limited Editions range, with 40 yachts delivered since 2005.

At the start of this century, after a long heritage of building the largest custom superyachts afloat, we decided to do things a bit differently. We developed a new approach to complex superyacht building, which we called the Amels Limited Editions range. We began construction and introduced the first design at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2005. The introduction was a huge success with owners. We are constantly developing the range, with new designs, new technology and improvements based on feedback from clients and crews.

A LIMITED EDITIONS yacht shares the philosophy of today’s busy owner, reflecting the luxury lifestyle in the early 21st century. AMELS’ unique approach has the advantage of a proven, reliable platform, while retaining the main attraction of pure custom – freedom in the interior and exterior design. Compared to pure custom, the LIMITED EDITIONS are the ‘best of both worlds’ and delivered in half the time.

With an average growth in annual turnover of 10% since 2007, AMELS has seen the LIMITED EDITONS concept go from strength to strength, with all projects delivered on or ahead of contract.

The craftsmen at AMELS share the rich, centuries-old tradition of nautical excellence in Vlissingen. With direct access to the North Sea, the yard can accommodate new builds and refits for even the largest of private yachts up to 200 metres. Today the AMELS yard covers 100,000sq m, including fully climate-controlled covered drydocks. Comprehensive paint facilities ensure the highest quality finish, while the design and engineering team ensures precision and reliability for trouble-free enjoyment. It’s the refinement of every single detail that makes an AMELS yacht unique.

FULL CUSTOM

We may be the world’s largest superyacht-building operation, but when it comes to your custom project, you have our full attention.

Alongside our successful Amels Limited Editions range, our Full Custom team is proving our capability with the largest Amels yacht builds to date – Project 77 and Project Signature. We achieve it in a very Dutch way – with hard work, craftsmanship and a love of doing things the right way.

Our inhouse design and engineering teams are second-to-none, with vast experience collaborating with the most renowned designers in the world as well as classification societies and flag states. You can also leverage the Damen Research Laboratory’s work on shipbuilding innovations for class-leading comfort, low noise and sustainability.

Our fleet of custom-built yachts goes back to our earliest yacht-building era.

Our journey as a custom builder began with our first large luxury yacht projects half a century ago. We began developing designs with the legendary yacht designer Jon Bannenberg. Those successful deliveries blossomed into an era of iconic yacht projects that were among the largest and most sophisticated yachts of their day including BOADICEA and MONTKAJ.

Refit

Amels offers comprehensive yacht refit services for owners of both our fleet of Amels yachts as well as yachts delivered by other builders. From planned maintenance to complete transformations, we have an impressive track record.

Our dedicated Refit team invests the level of care and attention to detail necessary to even exceed the quality of the original. No matter your project scope and complexity, we have the in-house structural re-design and systems re-engineering capacity.
