DS 156

Kingship, in collaboration with, Donald Starkey, have designed and developed the magnificent 47.5m motor yacht which breaks away from the conventional customary styling and redefines the modernity of luxury yachting. The exterior features a modern plumb bow combined with traditional circular port lights on the forward main deck.

Such distinctive lines and advanced hull structure make up for the style, space and performance. It offers more length and deck space than other yachts of the same tonnage. She sleeps 12 guests in 6 suites, while the master bedroom is on the forward part of the main deck to ensure privacy and panoramic views across the horizon. The large lounges and open covered deck spaces for entertaining are all accessible from a central staircase up to and including the parted shaded sun deck where there are circular Jacuzzi, bar and dining facilities served by a food lift.

Owing to the hull design, the long waterline and moderate beam of the yacht creates less resistance going through the water and can therefore make more speed and can do a longer passages with given amount of fuels. Powered by two Caterpillar C18 engines of 720W, she reaches a top speed of 15 knots and has a range of 6000nm. Behind this alluring appearance, Owners and their guests can be guaranteed with maximum comfort at sea plus the lavish space that fewer can find in another yacht of a 50 meters length. Ming 156 will be built in compliance to Lloyds and MCA LY-2 within the 500 GT rules.
