Naval architect and mechanical engineer Carlo Nuvolari and stylist Dan Lenard are the talented duo behind the successful studio; also composed of a team of highly skilled designers, naval architects and nautical engineers all of whom carry a variety of experiences and backgrounds.

Core to the design philosophy of the company is the belief that interior and exterior design be separate, individual, and noticeably unique. Their belief that the interior is a singular specialisation has led them to incorporating not only the needs of each individual customer in their designs, but also the technical and architectonic aspects of every period and trend.

This belief has ensured yachts that carry their design are some of the world's most magnificent, prestigious and memorable. The studio has been responsible for the design of highly-recognisable luxury superyachts including oceAnco’s Alfa Nero, sailing yacht Felicita West, and the brand new 85 metre Vibrant Curiosity.

Established in 1992 when Nuvolari and Lenard were only 28 and 21 respectively, the design firm has been headquartered in the artistic heart of Scorzè, just outside the old town of Venice, Italy since 2006.

In terms of large yachts, Nuvolari & Lenard cater mostly to yachts destined for private owners. The design firm supplies the client’s chosen shipyard with all the required architectural design documentation and design details to ensure the ideas are understood and executed as the client envisioned. The company has worked with renowned shipyards that include oceAnco, Perini Navi, CRN, and Palmer Johnson.

Nuvolari & Lenard also designs semi-custom or series yachts for production yards, working alongside builders such as Marquis, Dominator, Cantieri di Sarnico, and Carver Yacht Group.
