At Burger Boat Company, building a custom yacht is a collaborative process. When the US-based shipyard work with owners to create the yacht of their dreams, they always start with a conversation about vision. We speak with Ron Cleveringa, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, about what makes a Burger concept…

In recent months, the Burger 144’ and 214’ Tri-Deck Motor Yachts have made waves as some of the hottest new concepts on the market. Both began with discussions about the bespoke statements, custom touches and personal luxury for which the shipyard has become notorious. “The ambitious styling of the Burger 144’ and 214’ are standard bearers for the Burger’s limitless design capacity,” says Ron.

The 144’ was created in conjunction with Gregory C. Marshall Naval Architect, Ltd., and is designed with the marriage of stunning elegance and expansive deck areas in mind. “Her interior features a luxurious full beam main deck owner’s stateroom,” explains Ron, “The main entry foyer has double curved open staircases, one leading to the lower guest accommodations and the other to the upper deck, and the guest accommodations consist of four fully appointed staterooms.”

This utmost luxury is married with unrivalled open-air spaces – externally, the main salon and dining area transforms into a lavish indoor/outdoor area, and the upper deck includes a sky lounge opening to a private aft deck.

The 214’ was also created in conjunction with Gregory C. Marshall, and is a stunning example of modern yacht design. “She is an icon offering everything one would expect from Burger,” says Ron, “No expense has been spared, from her spacious guest areas to the mechanical equipment.”

The concept is designed to integrate its spaces, implementing ease of movement between indoors and out. The sundeck features a swimming pool and spaces for entertaining, the hull deck expands for extra seating and provides easy access to the water, and the interior offers its own fitness facilities that provide incredible views to the outside.

If proof were necessary for the pedigree of a completed Burger build, one needs to look no further than Northland, a 31.39m yacht delivered by the shipyard in November 2017. This custom vessel was designed by De Basto Designs and meticulously built to achieve an owner’s specific vision.

“Northland is a testament to Burger’s renowned shipbuilding and engineering expertise, as well as its ability to work with a designer and owner to turn a unique vision into an ocean-going, adventure chasing reality,” says Ron.

If this is what it looks like when a Burger concept becomes a reality, we cannot wait to see the Burger 144’ and 214’ concepts come to fruition. Watch this space!
