Notes From The Editor

Editors Comments: Week Ending 13/07/12

Two years ago I was sat on the docks of Port Hercule running the first ever Superyachts.com Breaking News Centre at the Monaco Yacht Show, working hard to provide our readers with one of the first newsletters surrounding the latest updates of the superyacht industry.

Today, I have the honour of releasing our 100th issue, and paired with the 73 luxury newsletters which have gone out every Monday, the team here at Superyachts.com look forward to bringing you a lot more.

Every issue I have sent out in the last two years has captured some of the world’s most prominent superyacht stories, industry movements and breaking new launches which have shaped an entire industry. After watching these events from the editors chair, I can’t help but think about what lies ahead.

Just this year we’ve seen the successor to the world’s largest yacht throne in the form of Azzam, companies flourish and disappear, yacht markets and order books fluctuate alongside a wealth of in-house movement from some of the world’s most renowned luxury yachting firms. So, with the Monaco Yacht Show just round the corner, and with our plans for full coverage in swing, I plan on releasing a lot more of these newsletters in the months and years to come.

In other news, we have also had the pleasure of welcoming Denison Yacht Sales onboard after their sponsorship of our Video Pages. The digital video sector is a huge growth tool for the superyacht industry and, working with Denison, we hope to bring you high-definition updates, breaking news and interviews to watch and archive over the future.

Today has been a milestone for Superyachts.com, personally speaking, and I would like to thank every company, owner and individual who has contacted me over the past few years for actively promoting the superyacht industry across the world through the medium of in-depth, transparent and high-definition journalism.
