Next week will see the start of the Hainan Rendezvous, already coined the most important luxury event in Asia, and whilst members ready themselves for a long trip to China more and more reports of promising industry activity has been flooding in.

The third annual Hainan Rendezvous has been building up for the last few months and creating a lot of hype within both the luxury media and global lifestyle industries, but what can we expect from Asia’s finest showcase of superyachts, aviation innovations and luxury goods?

More and more yachting companies are announcing their upcoming showcase in Sanya (dubbed the Chinese Riviera) in order to capture the attention of the growing markets in the region. But with the combination of superyachts, private jets, helicopters, automotives and luxury goods and high-end properties, alongside an estimated 15,000 visitors, we’re expecting big things from the ultra-elite paradise of the Hainan Rendezvous.

However, this is not the only exciting news emerging to the front pages as companies begin to announce big movements. Oceanco are currently putting the 88.5m Y707 superyacht Nirvana through her paces in the North Sea in preparation for her delivery. This is the seventh installment of Oceanco’s new generation of superyachts and the 48th largest superyacht in the world.
Pendennis Plus has also proudly announced that Mirabella V, the largest single-masted sailing yacht in the world, has arrived at their facilities in Cornwall for a substantial one-year refit after being renamed M5. An exciting ongoing project which will undoubtedly turn out an amazing project this time next year.

Palumbo Yachts has also announced the signing of a new Columbus 130 Sport Hybrid superyacht which has already entered construction. An ethically designed construction, this new superyacht rounds up the positive news from the shipyards this week, all of which promise an exciting string of announcements in coming weeks, months and years.
