Editor's Note: Day Four at the MYS

It is the forth and final day of Monaco Yacht Show 2018, and it has certainly been a ride. 62 interviewees have sat in the chair, and there have been some fantastic insights and revelations on all things yachting.

At the Breaking News Center, we sat down with our usual eclectic range of industy and lifestyle moguls, starting with Rupert Rainsford Mann of Rainsford Mann Designs. Rupert shared insights gained from his illustrious career as a top-end yacht interior designer, as well as sharing opinions on the emerging Chinese market.

We also welcomed to the chair Angela Pernsteiner, Managing Partner of Dominator Yachts. Angela discussed the bespoke caliber of Dominator's Illumen Series, and the debate around the idea that 'bigger is better' when it comes to yachting. Next, the pleasure of speaking to leading yacht designer Laura Pomponi, who told us all about the quintessentially Italian portfolio of her company Luxury Projects, was all ours.

Also taking their place in the chair was Ken Freivokh of Ken Freivokh Designs, who argued the case for a trend shift in yachting, whilst Paul Deeth, Chairman the Antigua Charter Show, and Eloise Green, Anchor Concierge and Superyacht Services had much to say on the wealth of charter opportunities on the beautiful island of Antigua.

Oceanco gave us the lowdown on Dar, whose formidable structure is spending its final day docked at Port Hercule, and Frank Laupman of Omega Architects told us about build projects and innovative practical solutions.

As the sun sets over a stunning day of browsing, buying and brokering and the Breaking News Centre comes down, we can't help but feel a little sad to see the back of MYS. It has been a hectic few days, but we wouldn't have it any other way. Until next year!
